FABRIK

Fabrik Director Jamie Dryden is a British trained stylist who has worked all over the world. Before opening Fabrik in May 2007 he was a senior member of the Charlie Miller creative team in his home town of Edinburgh, winning of the Avant garde Stylist of The year.

Jamie has also worked in Auckland for VADA where he took part in show and fashion work nationally. Fabrik continues to be involved in creative work throughout the country.

Hamilton Brooks Hairdressing is an award winning boutique salon situated in Nuffield Street, Newmarket.

Creative instigator Hamilton Brooks brings his 17 years of experience from top salons in London and New Zealand to our talented team of stylists cultivating a considered artlessness of hair design that is understatedly expert.

RYDER

Ryder is located on the corner of Customs St and Britomart Place, in the downtown Britomart fashion and dining precinct of Auckland. The design of the salon, by architects Petr Cvejn and Andrew Greenslade, makes abstract references to steel workshops and wooden boat construction, as a reflection of its waterfront context, and is infused with a modern Japanese sense of purity, with moiré patterns, notions of brickwork, and the warmth of natural wood as key elements.

The timber screens that are the central design feature of the salon separate the styling and washing spaces, and provide privacy from the street while still allowing glimpses of the busy life of the city outside. Ryder has long had a collaborative relationship with top New Zealand conceptual sculptor Michael Parekowhai, and installations of his artwork can be seen throughout the salon.

The retail zone at reception carries a full range of hair care, treatment and styling products and tools. Our product ranges include Davines, Oribe, R+Co, Cloud 9 and ghd styling tools and YS Park brushes along with a curated selection of luxury beauty and lifestyle products, such as Curio Noir candles.

TONI & GUY

Bronwyn Illingworth has extensive knowledge of Toni&Guy which she has gained over her 20 years working with the company.   Bronwyn held the position of International/Show Director during her 10 years working for Toni&Guy in London. This role saw her travelling the world educating, conceptualising ideas for new collections, developing education manuals and DVD’s and working on shows.

·       Has had work published in both international and national magazines

·       Worked on Fashion weeks – in London, Monaco, Ireland and New Zealand

·       Became joint owner of Toni&Guy NZ in 2003 with Cameron Grimshaw.

Bronwyn has a passion and enthusiasm for hairdressing and education that is relentless. She looks forward to training the next generation because she believes education is the key to our industry’s success.

Cameron Grimshaw brought the Toni&Guy Brand to New Zealand in 1998 after working alongside Anthony Mascolo and the London Art team during the 1990s. He also co-managed the Covent Garden salon during his time in the UK.

Cameron has accomplished much in his career so far. His many achievements include:

·       Held Position of Assistant Manager at London’s Covent Garden Salon - the top performing Toni&Guy Salon at the time.

·       National Hairdressing Awards Judge.

·       National Hairdressing Award winner.

·       Stylist at NZ Fashion Week.

·       Educator - both nationally and internationally.

·       Work published in national and international magazines.

·       Hairdresser in TV make-over series

With over 20 years in the making with this company, Cameron’s obsession with Toni&Guy and his belief that their education system is second to none, keeps him excited about the future.
